Overview

MediaLooks Character Generator (CG) is a powerful engine for static or animated overlay of text and graphics (images, Flash) over a video stream.

This product targets multimedia application developers and broadcast professionals.

No DirectShow expertise required. Supported development environments: .NET (C#, Visual Basic), VB6, Delphi, Visual C++, C++Builder. For more information about the framework, please see: Multimedia Component Framework Overview.

Use Cases

  • Input video via a DeckLink board, generate overlay graphics and mix via internal keying feature of the same board (hardware mixing).
  • Generate graphics and output via DeckLink board as key signal for further mixing (external keying).
  • Input video via a DeckLink or other board, mix with graphics (software mixing) and stream to Flash Media Live Encoder, Windows Media Encoder, Expression Encoder, Helix/Real Producer, On2 Flix, etc.
  • Develop your own use case by directly programming the CG COM object from your application.

VIdeo quality and smoothness may be affected by video re-encoding and streaming performed by YouTube. Our software is designed to be used with professional video equipment such as Blackmagic and AJA video output boards.
